KHS in CLOTH 100 Artists

I am feeling incredibly honored to share that I am featured as a textile designer in the beautiful new book CLOTH by Lena Corwin, published by Abrams Books. The book highlights 100 inspiring American fiber artists working across weaving, quilting, dyeing, and other heritage techniques.

My love for textiles started early—sparked by my grandmother, who worked in a Levi Strauss factory and later a button factory and was always sewing, mending, quilting, and crocheting. I felt like I’d won the lottery when I got my first sewing machine in second grade. Though I studied architecture in college (not knowing textile design was even a path!), I eventually found my way to designing textiles.

The project that is shown in this book is the Up Collection for HBF Textiles. I hope you will pick up a copy, flip through it and read about these incredible artists I have the honor of being included amongst.
